On my recent trip to London I was able to see the new mosaic of St David in Westminster Cathedral which was blessed by Pope Benedict on 18th September. It is certainly very striking. The colours are attractive although I find the iconography somewhat puzzling. He doesn't appear to be wearing a recognizable habit or vestments but, with his raised tumbler, is clearly advertising the marvellous qualities of Welsh water! Cheers!

David's rule in the monestery permitted the monks to drink only water and eat only bread, vegetables and salt.
