Laon Cathedral 1

From Amiens we headed eastward towards Reims/Rheims but first took an afternoon to visit Laon where the cathedral has the unusual feature of these stone oxen who appear to look out rather quizzically from high up on the two western towers. There is a famous thirteenth Century drawing of them by Villard d' Honnecourt.
